Human Resources Technician

Salary Range (non-exempt): $20.15/hr. +; depending on experience

Summary Position Statement:

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director and leadership of the Human Resources Generalist(s), provides administrative and clerical support for day-to-day Human Resources operations.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and in a team setting
  • Strong experience in data entry and excel spreadsheets
  • Computer savviness, experience working in various software platforms, and/or HRIS systems and Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong organization, documentation, and time management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal & written communication skills and effective problem solving skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and interruptions
  • At least two years’ experience working with confidential information
  • Criminal background check clearance required

Desired skills:

  • Experience with records management
  • Demonstrated experience and execution in process improvement
  • Experience creating desk manuals or writing processes and procedures

Minimum Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (B.S. degree preferred) with at least two (2) years of professional office experience in a busy office setting (HR experience preferred).

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform sedentary work. Visual acuity necessary to utilize a computer monitor throughout the course of a normal workday. Ability to perform repetitive keyboarding activities and operate general office equipment. Ability to communicate verbally, both in person and over the telephone.

Working Conditions: Work is generally performed at the main REACH office, during normal Agency operating hours. However, due to the nature of the duties involved (specifically attending Job Fairs or other community events); occasional evening and or weekend work may be required.
